I can't tell from the spec of the S25FL256 if it is a NOR flash memory and if I need to worry about bad blocks?

the product spec for the S25FL256L states:  "By using FL-L family devices at the higher clock rates supported, with Quad commands, the instruction read transfer rate can match or exceed traditional parallel interface, asynchronous, NOR Flash memories..."

but it never states that this device is in fact "NOR" based.

so does it operate like a NOR or NAND device, and do I need to worry about bad blocks?

Thanks for any advice/ comments in advance.
