I was using S29PL064J55BFI120, but it became EOL. As an alternative, we are considering whether S29PL064J55BFI070 can be used.

I read the datasheets, but I could not understand if there is a difference between the two devices. What is the difference between these?

Thank you for contacting Infineon Technologies.

S29PL064J55BFI070 and S29PL064J55BFI120  both are from the same device family.

From the data sheet on page 6 of 80 you can refer ordering Information.

There is no difference between this 2 parts. 

S29PL064J55BFI070 Model Number is 07 which indicates 3.0V VIO, 48-ball 8 x 6 mm FBGA (VBK048).

S29PL064J55BFI120 Model Number is 12 which also indicates 3.0V VIO, 48-ball 8 x 6 mm FBGA (VBK048).

I don't have the device, but I have the datasheet for the old revision. Please refer to the following screenshot.

I compared the datasheets but I couldn't see any difference.

Why are there 2 MPNs?

Hi,

There is no difference between these 2 parts. the datasheet you are referring to is an old data sheet please refer to the latest datasheet provided by Infineon.
