Hi
We are unable to write beyond 0x10000 locations in FRAM FM25V10-G.
Is this a known issue with this device.
We are operating at SPI CLK of 20MHZ

This is why we have developed and are now offering an optimized F-RAM driver for one of the industry's most popular microcontroller platforms: STM32. The latest STM32 SPI controller (OctoSPI) supports various SPI modes including x1, x4 and x8 width, SDR and DDR protocols as well as fully memory mapped access for both read and write operations.
Thanks to an advanced prefetching mechanism, the performance that can be achieved on these platforms is close to the theoretical maximum bus bandwidth (> 90%). Quad SPI (QPI) DDR mode F-RAM access is so fast that an Excelon QSPI F-RAM device can even be used as frame buffer. At SPI clock speeds of 17.5 MHz and higher it is fast enough to support the required read bandwidth of a STM32H7B3 Discovery Kit display controller/TFT. At 46.7 MHz it offers enough headroom to mix the traffic with concurrent frame buffer updates (write operations).
The following picture shows the snapshot of a graphical notepad application with a persistent frame buffer that is implemented via F-RAM. After a power loss (due to an emergency situation or on purpose), the old image is still fully available so that the application can be instantly and seamlessly resumed.
Of course, Cypress F-RAM can also be used for other purposes such as data logging or to make critical application data and variables persistent. In all cases, it provides instant writes (no data loss), infinite endurance as well as long retention.
The new Excelon F-RAM driver can be downloaded from Cypress' F-RAM github (in the STM32 directory).

Some time ago, batch of CY14B101PA-SFXI and CY2308SXI-2 was purchased from one of the distributors. Visual and functional tests have shown compliance with the declared characteristics. But inside the case, the x-ray revealed differences. The supplier advised that this is normal and that the differences depend on the location of factory. The most interesting thing is that these positions were purchased from this supplier for a long time and there were no refusals or significant claims for him. This is fake or not? I would like to be sure if this is normal and what is the reason for these differences?

The access time for the memory operation is essentially zero,

I am interested in using this parts for logging data from a tool that we are preparing to test in the field, but I am having difficulty getting any response from the commands that I am sending. I have tried RDID, RDSR, and a WREN-WRITE-READ operation without success.
I have setup the device on a breadboard interfaced to the SPI port of my microcontroller (CS,SCK,SI,SO), and the WP,HOLD pins on the chip are tied to 3.3V. Power (3.3V) and Ground are also connected on the chip. Note: I have tried 3 different chips with no success.
Here is a scope shot of my attempt to read the device ID from the chip.
Here is a closeup of the opcode byte for the RDID command.
It appears as if the SO line from the CY15B102Q does not ever come out of its Hi-Z state.
Any input would be welcome,

Is there a difference in these two rams? if so, what is the change? What should be done to run these rams?
