Motor Control ICs Forum Discussions
We have an inverter project for asynchronous motors.
For this purpose we bought the following board:
https://www.infineon.com/cms/de/product/evaluation-boards/eval-m1-im828-a/
https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/evaluation-boards/eval-m1-101t/
Now I read in the manual that the firmware is written for BLDC motors.
Can you help us what to do if we want to use these boards with an asynchronous motor.
Hello, trying to drive an inverter refrigeration compressor, runs perfectly at low speeds (1200 to 2000rpm) but got gatekill motor fault when speed is increased above 2000rpm.
During configuration with MCE Wizard I got warning about Overcurrent Trip Level For Internal Gatekill Comparator, reducing the value doesn't takes out the warning message.
I don't know what to adjust to have the motor running at 4500rpm (or at least 4000) without faults.
Thanks in advance for help.
Best regards.
Show LessHi,
We are using TLE9562QXXUMA1 - DC Motor IC in our design. We would like to have the EMI / EMC performance details of this IC , especially conducted emission.
Thanks,

Show LessHi,
I am able to run the motor via UART1 by giving the command "0x01, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0x01, 0x01, 0xFE, 0xFB " (to run at 275RPM). But the motor runs at lower speed at 100RPM aprox.
Even if I give another speed command "0x01, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0xE8, 0x03, 0x17, 0xF9" to run at 1000RPM, it still runs at the same 100RPM. However, I am able to stop the motor by giving the command "0x01, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0xFF, 0xFC "(0RPM).
I cant control the speed of the Motor it always runs at the same low RPM. Please help!

Hi@ Krupashankar
I am Using IM535 board with Eval EVAL-M1-101TF. As per IM535 Data Sheet IU & IV slow will give clear Sinusoidal Waveform. I Run “VF Diagnostic” then Change Parameter target speed and Vd_Ext in VF Diagnostic sub-function. Also tune parameter “Gating Propagation Delay & Phase Shift Window Size” in MCE Wizard.
But my Wave Form is not Good.
Kindly Guide what i am doing Wrong.
Thanks
Show LessI'm having an issue with sending UART commands to the EVAL-M1-101TF.
I am using an XMC1100 with custom code to send UART commands to the IMC101T. I have confirmed that the UART commands that I am sending are correct using an oscilloscope and decoding function, and the fact that MOST of the responses are happening properly.
I am attempting to send 12 "read register" commands, one after another, every 100ms. The way my XMC1100 is sending UART commands is that it is sending the message frame, waiting for a response, then sending the next frame if the response comes in properly. If the response doesn't come (from the IMC101T to the XMC1100), the XMC1100 will re-try sending the same TX UART message to the IMC101T, up to 5 times.
What I am seeing is that some of the time, the IMC101T does not respond to the command sent to it. Can someone help me with this? Is there some sort of busy state on the IMC101T that it doesn't allow UART commands to come in?
Seen in the picture below are UART TX and RX messages, to and from the IMC101T.
The green waveform is the TX "read register" command coming from the XMC1100. The blue waveform is the "read register" RESPONSE from the IMC101T. The XMC1100 device sends the next "read register" command as soon as it receives a response from the previous command.
The problem I'm having is shown in the middle of the screen, near the bottom. The "read register" command is sent (green before the first big gap), it waits for a response, gets none, and times out. After timing out, it retries sending a "read register" command, until it either receives a response or it tries this 5 different times. In this case, the IMC101T did NOT respond to a message that was sent to it TWICE in a row. What is causing this problem????

where can we buy the board from the AN2016-12 Application Note.
It's for the IKCM20L60GD

MCE Designer becomes unresponsive and no longer able to turn off the Motor every time I tired to run PFC first and then run Motor.
But there is no problem if I turn on only one(either pfc or Motor) and run.
The tools that I use for this application are: EVAL-M3-302F for controller and EVAL-M3-CM615PN for power board. I have the latest version of MCE designer installed which is v2.3.1 and the MCE wizard that I have is v2.3.1. The firmware package that I use for board is IMC302A-F064 MCE Software Package v1.3.3
Show LessThe gate kill error continues to appear.
I attached the Schematic, so please check it.
The GATEKILL error is displayed even though the rated current of the motor is set to 30A and the GATEKILL is set to 100A. I don't know the cause.
Can you solve this problem?
Show LessI purchased the development board of IM828XCC.
I tried to test today, but IMC101 development board is not connected. I don't know why. I just unboxed and tried, but it doesn't work.
Viewed the data sheet.
I need to remove the onboard interface, what is the onboard interface?
