Hello everybody,
I bought the boards EVAL-M1-1302 and EVAL-M1-05F804 and I have to run a 12 volt brushless motor. My goal is to build multicopter.
Unfortunately, I find no suitable documentation, as I can run the motor with my boards. I only find documentation or projects for DAVE, for the boards EVAL-M1-1302_05-65D,
EVAL-M1-1302_05-84D, EVAL-M1-1302_36-45A and EVAL-M1-1302_36-84A.
Can anyone give me a hint where to find a project for DAVE or other documentation to run a brushless motor with my boards?
Thank you.

- What is NovalithIC?
NovalithIC contains three separate chips in one package: One p-channel highside MOSFET and one n-channel lowside MOSFET together with a driver IC, forming an integrated high
current half-bridge. It can be used as an interface between microcontroller and motor. - Which protection and diagnosis features does NovalithIC provide?
The device provides current sense, slew rate adjustment, dead time generation and the protection against overtemperature, under voltage, undervoltage, short circuit and overcurrent. Please look into the datasheet to find more detailed information for the product. - What benefits can I get by using NovalithIC in my applications ?
- Less PCB area --> Cost reduction
- Less numbers of pick and place --> Cost reduction
- Minimized output voltage drop below GND --> Ease of use
- Protection features --> Ease of use
- Integrated current sense feature --> Cost reduction
- No charge pump --> better EMC performance
- Less PCB area --> Cost reduction
- Can NovalithIC be used in safety related application?
NovalithIC is not ASIL qualified. But it is possible to make a functional safety qualification based on the field data(FITs) to meet the safety requirement of the applications on system level. - How accurate is the current sense feature?
Both current sense ratio(KILIS) and differential current sense ratio(dkILIS) are specified in our datasheet. Without calibration current sense accuracy could achieve ±28%. It can be significantly improved by using compensation and calibration methods. With offset compensation, the accuracy could achieve ±10%. It is even possible to achieve ±3% with temperature calibration. - Is it possible to use NovalithIC in 24V applications?
Yes, NovalithIC can be used in 24V applications with drifted parameters. The normal operation voltage is specified from 8V to 18V. It can be extended to 40V. But all parameters in our datasheet are specified in normal operation voltage range.

- What is TrilithIC?
TrilithIC is a fully integrated high current H-bridge for motor drive applications. It contains two p-channel highside MOSFETs and two n-channel lowside MOSFETs with an integrated driver IC in one package, and can be used as an interface between microcontroller and Motor - Which protection and diagnosis features does TrilithIC provide?
The device provides overtemperature protection, short circuit protection, overload protection, under voltage detection and current sense feature. Please look into the datasheet to find more detailed information for the product. - How to select a proper product for my application?
The main features of TrilithIC family are summarized in the following table. Please select the product according to the application requirements (max. operation voltage/ protection features/ PWM frequency etc.). Please check the datasheets, if you need more detailed information. - Which Typical output current level can TrilithIC support?
The max. HS/LS continuous drain source current of BTM7752G/BTM7755G is 4 A. For applications with PWM, the max. output current highly depends on the PWM frequency and the duty cycle. But please be noticed that the max. output current is limited by the thermal performance and the current limitation level of the device. For BTM7752G and BTM7755G, the typical current limitation level is 12 A, the min. level is 8 A. - Can TrilithIC be used in 24V application?
For BTM7752G/BTM7755G, the supply voltage range for normal operation range is 8 V to 18 V. It can be extended up to 28 V. But the specs in the datasheet are specified in the range of Vs = 8 V to 18 V, and the overtemperature protection is only available up to 18 V. - How is possible to use TrilithIC in Safety related application?
The products are not developed according to ISO26262. But it is possible to make the functional safety qualification based on field data(FITs) to meet the qualification requirement of the applications on system level. - How accurate is the current sense feature?
In the datasheet of BTM7752G/BTM7755G, both current sense ratio(KILIS) and differential current sense ratio(dkILIS) are specified. Although the accuracy is not specified in the datasheet, KILIS and dkILIS can be used as a reference to implement the applications. - Is it possible to use TrilithIC in PWM mode?
PWM signal can be applied at input pins to switch MOSFETs. BTM7752G and BTM7811K can be used with a PWM signal up to 25 KHz. But please be noticed that not all products in TrilithIC family can be used with such a high speed PWM signal. For the other products please check the max. PWM frequency specified in the datasheet.

Hi
I'm using MCRTOOL V2 with IRMCK099 and Eval-M1-05F310 board. I've download the 99series software, and looking for the sample code .
However there are only IRMCP0199-1-D,IRMCP0199-0-PS,IRMCP0199-1-M1. There is no sample for Eval-M1-05F310 board.
I've try all of them ,but in vain.I stuck at configuring the motor function. After I push the button, the motor 1 status indicator didn't change to ''motor 1 stop'',and it show DC Low voltage?
Is there any setting for motor rated voltage ?and how many should the DC power supply output to the board?the motor's rated voltage?
So where can i get the sample code for Eval-M1-05F310? or one of the three examples can be used for this board ?

Hallo,
I have just bought the new EVAL-M1-CM610N3 power board equipped with the CIPOS mini IKCM10L60GA, to be tested with the Eval M1-1302, the control board with XMC1302.
I have tried to find some examples for this board, but I couldn't find any solution.
We are developing a new BLDC motor for sanding tools, and we would like to test your FOC solution.
Do I have to follow different configurations?
Thank you very much for your help

Hi All,
I am trying to get deeper in the FOC library. It seems that this library is really powerful, but I am figthing with a strange problem.
I have linked the PMSM_FOC_O.user_speed_set to a numeric box (I have also tried with a slider) in the Micrium program, in order to have a graphic interface where I can modify the motor speed in debug mode,
The control works uncorrectly: it only INCREASES the speed. When I try to reduce the value, the control does not change the motor speed.
Any idea or suggestion?
Thank you very much
Best Regards
Ciao

Hi there,
After install the software package "99 Series Installer", there is a schematic file named IRMCS0199-1-M1.pdf under path iMotion\IRMCS0199-1-M1\Hardware.
From this schematic file, a component named "Parameters EEPROM" can be found. Would some one please kindly tell me the usage of this component? Is it intended to replace the OTP memory which is for storing parameters as well.
As far as I can tell, the OTP memory can only be programmed 31 times, however the EEPROM has no such limitation. So if the OTP memory can be replaced by EEPROM, such limitation can be avoided, it will be a good news.

Hi all!
i am using EVAL-M1-05F804
with dave and Micrium.
I have 2 Brushless Sensorless 2pole motor. ~20watt each motor (li-ion battery powered)
Motor is running quite well, even at low rpm.
My application is a robotic mower and i have 2 wheels to control (with gearbox reduction).
my questions are:
1- if i slow down the wheel, motor control give more torque to mantain constant rpm (good) BUT if i make the wheel spinning faster than set speed (like if my mower is going down in a slope), motor control doesn't brake/slow down the wheel speed..... In my application this is unacceptable!
i am doing something wrong or braking control is missing? i have a battery pack to store energy but also dissipating it is ok.
2- if i switch to hall sensor brushless motor, will i have speed control even if wheel is spinning faster than speed set?
3- if while motor is running i disconnect it, infineon motor control think that motor is still running!!! O_o is avayable a stall detection somwhere or i have to make it by myself?
Any suggestions? Show Less
