Hi, i am planning to design a 3 phase inverter, used to control 3 phase asynchronous motor. Because of the limited budget, I want to use IGBT IKA15N65ET6 (650v - 15A) and IRS2308SPBF or 2ED2109. Don't know if such hardware is ok? I use pulse width modulation method sinpwm with modulation frequency from Stm32 of 16Khz
Show LessHi,
how to implement field weakening in IMD111T?
My motor is an IPM with saliency ratio of 90%. So field weakening should generate extra torque from saliency if properly implemented. My optimum requirement is to implement filed weakening thought the operating speed range from 100RPM to 18000RPM to run in MTPA (maximum torque per amp mode) and to utilise the extra torque due to saliency.
If not can I at-least implement field weakening at some speed thrushold ?
I can see there is a parameter " field weakening current limit" in MCE wizard. I have made this parameter as 100%. I thought this will implement field weakening thought the operating range from 100RPM to 18000 rpm, but still the motor is not getting into field weakening mode. My id current is almost zero.
At full load after 8000RPM, the motor gets from constant torque region to constant voltage region and the speed gets more unstable and eventually gatekill triggers. How to enable field weakening at 8000RPM?
I can also see other filed weakening register parameters like FwLevel, FwkKx, FwkCurlRatio, but I can't find a proper definition of these parameters in the software reference manual. Just a one line definition is available. There is no details on impact of these parameters!
Cheers,
Vel.

Hello,
I am using TLE9201SG to drive a window motor with TMS320. When I sent a diagnostic read signal (0x00), it returned me the default diagnostic signal (0xDF), but after that things got messy and I only started getting repeated messages, for example when I sent 0xC0 it sent back 0xC0, when I sent 0xA0 it returned 0xA0. Things start to go smoothly if I just use the WR_CTRL_RD_DIA command, but when I send a RD_DIA command or a wrong command, it gets stuck in this repeated message hell. How can I solve this.

Control the single phase motor and compressor. if the temperature set point and low high contact and Is circuit in one PCB. please help to get the design and components.
A/C cooler running , want to avoid the MCB and motor capacitors and relays big components, make on PCB for all
Please , can anyone help

Show LessGetting started with the new solution designer software for a custom motor controller using imc102t...
Was able to connect to device, program device and run the motor and pfc.
When i try to open the osciloscope function i get the following error and i can't add any traces to the osciloscope window.
Any suggestions?
Show LessHi,
I am currently trying to run my motor in current mode. I can run the motor by setting IqRef_Ext. But I cant change the speed by changing the target speed. How can I properly change the speed using current mode?
My aim here is to achieve low rpm with high torque (min 20 rpm to max 300rpm) to drive my load.
Thanks!
Show LessHi,
I am driving a motor at 18000RPM using my sensorless FOC controller with IMD111T device on it.
The motor start up behaviour and achievable torque are all good.
The issue is that actual motor speed measurement is not matching with MCE trace speed estimation. I measured the motor speed using contact & non-contact type tachometer, so the measured speed is reliable.
When the actual speed is 3400RPM, the MCE trace says it's 5000RPM.
When the actual speed is 10200RPM, the MCE trace says it's 12000RPM.
When the actual speed is 12200RPM, the MCE trace says it's 18000RPM.
What causes this speed difference? what parameters to change?
I have attached my Flx_M measurement.
Cheers,
Vel.

I have a question regarding the IMC. Is the setting and reading of the GPIOs from the chip also possible without script via the User Uart protkoll ?
