Hello.
I have a question.
We have a lot of IGBT module inventory that we used before, it must use the inventory for this module.
So I'm going to use IMC102T-F064 chip and IGBT together
Is it okay to use it like this?
Can IMC102T-F064 only integrate Infineon's IGBT?
The IGBT chip that I have in stock is from another company.
I integrated and designed it and tested it.
MCEdesigner saying, "Overtemperature" error.
Please reply.
Thank you.

Hi @JasonLEE,
We went through the schematics. Here are a few points that we have:
- You have used LM393 which is a comparator and then used this circuit for current sense and protection. The current sense will not work with a comparator. We need to use an op-amp for this purpose.
- Vth should be pulled-up for proper temperature sensing, this is the reason to get the fault immediately on board power-up.
- Please connect ITRIP pin for the IPM module as provided in the datasheet.
Without proper current sense, the FOC will not work and will definitely lead to improper switching and eventually lead to device failure.
Thanks,

Hi @JasonLEE,
IMC102T-F064 is a controller which gives a control signal with a suitable driver any IGBT can be controlled from IMC102T-F064.
Can you please share the details of IGBT and driver details for further understanding of the issue?
MCEdesigner saying, "Overtemperature" error.
This fault can be disabled by writing '0' to bit 6 of FaultEnable parameter.
Or please connect a thermistor to NTC pin and configure Over temperature Protection register for more details please refer to Section : 2.1.16.4 Over Temperature Protection in iMOTION – MCE – Software Reference Manual v1.3

Hello.
Thank you for your reply
There seems to be a problem with every design I do.
"overtemperature" fault continues to occur
I turned off the "overtemperature" and the pcb exploded.
But I don't know the cause.
I designed two driver boards and they both show the same symptoms..
If you look at the picture, that phrase appears even though the motor has not started.
This IGBT is IM818LCC.

Hi @JasonLEE,
This can happen if there is no over-current protection and improper current sensing. Please ensure the protection circuit before turning on the supply.
Can you please share the following:
- Complete schematics of your power board and controller.
- MCE Designer Configuration file( .mc2)
- Motor datasheet.
- Scenario in which PCB exploded.
- If thermistor is used share the details of thermistor( part number).
These details will help us in identifying the cause and analyze the issue.
Thanks,
Krupashankar

Hello @Krupashankar
Thank you for you reply
1. If you open the secret chat room, we will share the entire Schematic.
2. The error code occurs when the PCB is turned on and the motor is not operated. I don't know why.
3. We didn't use a thermistor. Please check the Schematic.
4. As soon as I turned on the PCB, this error code occurred, so I turned off the overtemperature diagnostic function and operated the motor, and the pcb exploded.

Hi, @Krupashankar
I modified the design as you advised.
PCBs are currently in production.
I haven't tested it yet. But I'd like to have you tested. I changed the components and circuits as you advised.
I put the schematic in the secret room, so please check it out.
Best Regards

Hi @JasonLEE,
Can you please create a new thread in the community for schematic review?
Thanks,
