Hello,
We bought the EVAL-M1-101TF + EVAL-M1-05F804R Combo and tried to spin a standard Brushless Motor.
Motor used is : QBL4208-41-04-006
Specifications in datasheet are :
No. of Pole : 8
No. of Pole : 1,79A
Rated Speed : 4000RPM
Line to Line Resistance : 1,8Ohms
Line to Line Inductance : 2,6mH
We tried to configure parameters into MCE Wizard (in Default Hardware Setting For New User) with these parameters :
Question 2 : 1,79 ARms
Question 3 : 8 poles
Question 4 : 0,9Ohms
Question 5 : 1,3mH
Question 6 : 1,3mH
Question 7 : 1.36 V/krpm (For this parameter, we measured with a scope : 2V peak to peak at 20Hz)
Question 8 : 4000RPM
Question 9 : 500RPM
Question 10 : 50RPM/sec
Question 11 : 0RPM/sec
Question 12 : 0sec
Question 13 : 1000RPM
Question 14 : 50%
=> When we calculate parameters, we have errors :
ERROR 1 : Motor 1 Rs is out of range
ERROR 2 : Motor 1 L0 is out of range
ERROR 1 : Motor 1 VoltScl is out of range
Could you help me to find what parameter could be wrong ?
Thank you !
Sebastien

The value of Ke entered is wrong.
Error in this value will lead to an error in the calculation of the Rs, Lo, VoltScl.

Hello, In addition to my last post :
We are using a control card EVAL-M1-101TFTOBO1 with power card EVALM105F804RTOBO1
Our test motor is a Trinamic QBL4208-41-04-006 DC brushless:
the parameter of the motor are:
Moteur DC brushless , 24 V, 4000 RPM, 0.0625 Nm, 26 W, 42 mm
- Resistance 0.9 Ohm
- Inductance 1.3mh
- Poles: 8
- Epk mesured beetwen two phases (question 7): 1V at 20Hz -> Ke = 1.36
We get a motor gatekill fault (cf error.png)
Using the MCEWizard Configuration Files v1.0 reduce the number of question to be answered from 95 to 14.
But if we looked at the experts parameters (provided by EVAL-M1-101T-05F804_24k-S.mc2 from MCEWizard Configuration Files v1.0) question 93, the default value for overcurrent triplevel for internal gatekill comparator is 2A (cf GateKillSetup_default.png), I do not understand why this value is si weak , reading the EVALM105F804RTOBO1 datasheet the maximum is 17A
Do you have any idea of our motor gatekill problem ?
Regards,

For the overcurrent trip level, actual value of trip current needs to be entered. Please enter the desired current (actual value) above which the gate kill is intended.

Hello @seb_44120 ,
Please share the MCE wizard file, so that we can go through the entire list of parameters an settings which must have caused these errors and get back to you immediately. The errors shared (ERROR. ERROR 1, ERROR 2) are caused either due to the internal computational results being out of range due to the set parameters or any error in syntax, for instance, VoltScl might have been caused due to the calculated dc bus voltages being out of range of the set dc bus voltage values.
For more information on gate kill, please refer to section 3.6 of https://www.infineon.com/dgdl/Infineon-UG-2020-25-EVAL-M1-05F804R-UserManual-v01_00-EN.pdf?fileId=55....
Thanks,
Sai

Thank you @psb for your reponse !
What a pity : .mc2 file format is not supported on this forum 😞
Here is the .mc2 zipped file corresponding to my configuration.
It would be great if you could have a look on our configuration !
Thank you
