Hello.

As you pointed out, I modified the design.

I attached Schematic to Google drive, so please check it

1. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qrPGDc8CNWGSl0Fk8riBQkptAOQAydPn/view?usp=sharing

2. https://drive.google.com/file/d/15BB1E-rGz8VPRlclf4yeoWsPokCJA3Kx/view?usp=sharing

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We went through the schematics. Here are a few points that we have:

  1. You have used LM393 which is a comparator and then used this circuit for current sense and protection. The current sense will not work with a comparator. We need to use an op-amp for this purpose.
  2. Vth should be pulled-up for proper temperature sensing, this is the reason to get the fault immediately on board power-up.
  3. Please connect ITRIP pin for the IPM module as provided in the datasheet.

Without proper current sense, the FOC will not work and will definitely lead to improper switching and eventually lead to device failure.

HI @JasonLEE

Please clarify the below points :

1) Assuming R27 is not populated in the circuit. If it is populated provide the resistance value.

2) Confirm the value of R15. The existing value seems to be high.

In the circuit where the 20 milli ohm resistor is populated.

3) Confirm the part number of U11.

Hi @JasonLEE

Thanks for posting on the Infineon community page.

Please share the schematic files in PDF format to check. We are unable to open from google

drive due to restricted access.

Hi,

I made and used this design, but it didn't work either.

MCE's LED blinked and eventually the MCE broke down.
MCE seems too difficult to use.
There are too many failures, too many debugging errors, and whether it works or not is random.

I've made it many times, but it's never been successful and it keeps failing.
