Hi, I have tried to run DB59C024035R-B3 brushless-dc motor with EVAL-M1-101TF/EVAL-M1-05F310R, but I'm getting instant Gatekill/low dc voltage fault every time in MCEdesigner. I'm not sure even if this motor is supposed to work with those parts. 

Does someone have any ideas on how to investigate this? Or could someone point out what motor would work properly with EVAL-M1-101TF/EVAL-M1-05F310R? 

 

I am using IMC101T-F048 MCE Software Package v1.3.3.

Hi,

I got it working changing gatekill source to gatekill pin. I'm not sure how safe that is but now it is working.

I added parameter file. 

This case can be closed.

Thanks! for posting in the Infineon Community.

EVAL-M1-05F310R - Nominal input voltage 30 ~ 72 Vdc

From the Datasheet of the motor, we could see the rated voltage of the motor is 24V.

Could you please share the configuration .mc2 file? This will help us to understand the issue better.

Hi,

I used file below, just changed poles count.

https://www.infineon.com/dgdl/Infineon-MCEWizard_Configuration_Files-DevelopmentTools-v01_01-EN.zip?...

"The file type (.mc2) is not supported. Valid file types are: jpg, gif, png, json, doc, pdf, xls, docx, html, htm, xlsx, pptx, zip."

Should I look for motor that is between 30-72 or is there some work around?

Ah, found it.  .mc2 file is inside zip file

Hi @Lauriv,

Based on your attached .mc2 file We could find that motor parameters don't match with the configuration(.mc2)

Could you please update all the parameters based on the motor datasheet? and let us know if you are able to run the motor.

Hi @Lauriv,

This will disable the gate kill fault triggered from the comparator due to overcurrent. Please make sure your gatekill pin triggers at the time of over current
