Update (June 2023): with the release of ModusToolbox 3.1 the offline content support has been deprecated in favor of the new local content storage feature. Working offline is now easier than before and users are able to update their local content without waiting for a release off the offline package. Offline content packages will continue to work in a ModusToolbox 2.x and 3.0 environment but are not supported from the 3.1 release and will no updates to the package are planned

We just updated the offline content package with support for ModusToolbox 3.0 and all the latest software libraries from GitHub (github.com/infineon). You can download the installable package (v1.3 - November 2022) from the Infineon Developer Center, here:

https://softwaretools.infineon.com/tools/com.ifx.tb.tool.modustoolboxofflinecontentpackage

Under normal operation, ModusToolbox™ accesses run-time content - Code Examples, Middleware and Board Support Packages – from the Infineon GitHub account. Recognizing that persistent Internet access is not always possible, we also provide a downloadable package for offline use. We continue to recommend working with the online content when you can - so you always have access to the latest software - but this is a useful alternative way of working for users who are frequently working offline.

KBA 236233 (ModusToolbox software Offline development package) contains great instructions for installing and using the offline content.

Is there an updated version of the offline content package available that works with ModusToolbox 3.0? I would like to avoid doing the manual 2.x to 3.x migration. Or should we stay with ModusToolbox version 2.4 if we need to do all development "offline"?

We are going to release an updated offline package soon (but I don't have the date - sorry). I think you are right - stick with ModusToolbox 2.4 for a little while longer - then start working with 3.0 and the new offline content at the same time. That should minimize your migration effort.
