HI,

I have a strange issue:
I disabled the WDT in config wizard (see attached) picture and by accindent called
SCU_WDT_Start();
in main.

After disconnecting the debugger and unplug/plug the power supply I cannot connect the debugger (Segger J-Link) anymore....
It seems the watchdog is constantly triggered and blocking the debug connection.
Any ideas how to overcome this issue and to re-establish the debug connection?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @GMeyer ,

The WDT mentioned is normally disabled by default. We conducted the same scenario using our EVAL board and were able to connect without issues This suggests that the WDT is not the cause of the problem and that the device may have entered sleep mode for some other reason Please follow the steps mentioned in section 6.3.4 of the FAQ Application Note of TLE986x/7x to wake up the device.

If the device still does not connect after following the above steps, please provide us with the following information:

  • Complete project files.
  • Are you using a custom board or the EVAL BOARD?
  • Can you please share the schematic with us?

Best Regards,
Sahil Kumar

Hi Sahil,

thanks for the hint.
We meanwhile managed to get a connection to the board.
Issue can be closed!
Thanks for the support!
