A small dead time is always a power electronic engineer's pursuit .Proper deadtime is very important in the system design , too large deadtime will lead a bigger harmonics . For the SiC Mos , the performance of the body diode is influence by the gate voltage, a smaller deadtime bring less loss during the current commutation process
