What specific components and guidance does Infineon recommend for an AC line circuit breaker?

I.E. Is there a reference design for a Solid State AC Line Circuit Breaker?

Infineon's SiC FETs with very low on state resistance and fast switching time appear suited to replace electromechanical AC line circuit breakers.  Infineon offers some high level promotional material advocating the implementation of Solid State Circuit Breakers. Are there any specific examples or reference designs with notes to help design engineers understand safety and design considerations?

Hi

Thanks for posting on Infineon community

Could you please  give voltage and current rating. you can use the below link for SSR selection.

https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/power/solid-state-relay/photovoltaic-relays/#!products .

CoolMOS™ S7 MOSFET  ideal for applications requiring low conduction losses at the best price, offering an effective way to replace electromechanical
relays with solid-state implementations or improve existing solid-state designs.

CoolMOS™ S7 MOSFET offer lesser Rds than SiC

Vignesh,

Thank you for the SSR and CoolMOS S7 options. I apologize for not clarifying by Line, I was referring to 110 to 240V AC Power Lines into homes and business where individual circuits will be 10A to 60A and the main breaker may be over 200A.

The CoolMOS S7 appears to offer the functionality to create a solution. Are there any reference designs or examples that may help to identify details to consider in an application where the CoolMOS S7 parts could replace a standard Electromechanical Circuit Breaker in a main power panel of a typical home?

Hi,

Unfortunately, we don't have any reference design.

But you can use that with back to back connection of MOSFET.
