I'm trying to write a short code for TC1796 CPU but I've faced an issue.
When I use the following assembler code everything works fine:
call 0x800xxxxx
ret
But the following code does not work and I have no clue why:
movh.a a15, #High
lea a15, [a15]Low
nop // tried without this instruction also
calli a15 // crushed
ret
I hope that Infineon engineers can shed light on this problem. When I replace calli to call(only this single instruction) the code works just fine. So I believe the problem with "CALLI" instruction.

It is normal for the program to jump from the boot area to the app area, but after jumping from the app area to the boot area, the program in the app area does not run normally, and it is looping in one place. The program keeps looping at 0x00C00090.
Now it is certain that the jump instruction is no problem, the program has jumped to the boot area, before jumping I have closed the interrupt. Or provide some code about software reset, I tried software reset, but it failed, maybe my instructions are not correct.

with this post I´d like to understand wether there is a suitable successor for the CYRF69103 chip which has become obsolete.
I´m interested in replacing this chip on one of my projects with a nearly similar one. I already came accross one which has the label CYRF6935. Would this be an option? How long will this one be available on the market?

i know this is not the correct forum. But i have not found a more suitable one.
I would like to know the difference between the types CY90F543GPFR-GE1 and CY90F543GPF-GE1. I could not find the meaning of "R" in the designation so far.
I don't think it has anything to do with the packaging, as both parts are delivered in the tray.

We are currently using an FMx family of microcontrollers, and we are using files provided by Infineon (including the former Cypress).
These include the source code and header files (xxx.c, xxx.h, xxx.inc) of the "microcontroller I/O register declaration file" and "I/O register macro declaration file".
Am I correct in understanding that these do not fall under FOSS (Free Open Source Software)?

for a couple of months now we are experiencing sporadic PLL synchronization losses during our temperature test campaigns. Before that, the same product seemed to work fine during the tests. We don't have any hint about a change in the hardware or in the test test setup which could cause the sudden problems.
One assumption is that there could be an EMI problem. But there is no explanation why we had no problems before.
Does anyone know about the PLL being so sensitive under certain conditions?
The PLL setup seems sound and in spec. But is it possible that certain settings are more robust than others?
Would be glad to get new ideas, since we are running out of them now.

How do you calculate the time it takes to switch from low to high frequency using clock gear?
(Is it 64 clocks of the main PLL clock x number of loops x number of steps?)
Also, if you suddenly change the frequency without using a clock gear, how much will the power supply current fluctuate?
(Is there a correlation between the width of the frequency change and the amount of current change?)

Hello! We are pursuing the replacement of an XE167F96F80LACFXUMA1C with an XC228796F80LACKXUMA1 as per previous PCN guidelines. Would I assume immediately that the appropriate compiler for the latter must be used to compile present code with the latter part number IC as the target? Is there any information downloadable about compatibility?
