I just purchased a PLS UAD2Pro to programming/debugging my processors. When I try to connect to my processor (XC2234L) via JTAG, it fails to connect to the device.
I am using UDE Memtool (similar to Infineon Memtool). When i switch over to the miniWiggler, it seems to work okay. When I switch back to the UAD2Pro (being sure to switch the device setup too) it still does not work. So I know that the sofware and the processor work, but the UAD2Pro does not seem to connect successfully.
Does anyone have any experience with the UAD2Pro and/or XC22XXL? Show Less

Hi all,
I´m using USIC in SSC-Master Mode and want to transmit n 16bit words without pause between these 16bit words, i.e. it should be a continuous bit-stream of n 16bit words.
Transmission is controlled with PEC, i.e. as soon as transmit buffer is free, new data is loaded. However there is a short pause between these 16bit words!
This pause is 35us at a baudrate of 500kHz and 85us at a baudrate of 200kHz, i.e. the pause is about the time duration for the transmission of one 16bit word.
Is it possible to reduce this pause?
In Shift Control Register H, Frame Length is 16bit and Word Length is 16bit.
Attached is the an extract of the init function

Hi,
I''m trying to bring a XE167FM to live. But i have problems.
The oscillator won't start(fixed on 0 and 1V) and the VCCI1 is 0V.
VDDPA and PDDPV are 5V
VDDiM=1,435V
/PROST=5V
/TRST=0V
Double checked the soldering. Can't check if the ground pad is soldered properly and I don't know for sure.
Someone a suggestion what the problem is or what I have to check.
Thanks! Show Less

Hello.
I have a problem with Double Watchdog reset. I can’t avoid Permanent Reset state.
I read Errata Sheet V1.7 2013-06, WDT_X.002, “Clearing the Internal Flag which Stores Preceding WDT Reset Request”.
I can’t clear the Internal Flag by write ‘1’ to WDTCS.CLRIRF (bit#3 in F0C6H). I tried to do it in startup of the program. I tried to do this in Prewarning Mode (in interrupt).
Is somebody can help me to solve this problem?
I use: SAK-XE164FN-40F80L AA
ALTIUM: TASKING VX-toolset for C166 v3.1r2. Show Less

Hello community,
I've got a strange problem using the watchdog on a XC2238N controller.
For my system I don't want the Double WDT Reset to occur. Therefore I set RSTCON0 to 0xA000 and RSTCON1 to 0x0280, and I write 0x0008 to the WDTCS register to clear the internal reset flag every time the controller is started to prevent the prewarning mode.
Even if I do so the Double WDT Reset occurs and the controller is held in reset when the watchdog event is detected for the second time.
I've writte a small program which shows the problem. I use a LED at P2.9 which is low active. The program runs from address 0xC00000 in the internal flash.
PUSH R1
MOV R1,#080h
MOV P2_IOCR09,R1
BCLR P2_OUT_P9
EXTR #1
MOV SCU_RSTCON0,#0A000h
EXTR #1
MOV SCU_RSTCON1,#0280h
MOV R1,#08h ; Reset OE flag
MOV SCU_WDTCS,R1
POP R1
EINIT
JMPR cc_UC,0C00028h ; Force watchdog event to occur
Has anyone an idea of what's going wrong here?
Thanks for your help
