Request to customise Flash MCU Programmer memory erase section

Hi,

We are using the Flash MCU Programmer application to program and upgrade our PCBs using the MB9BFD18T.

We write a serial number and other test data in the flash after we first program the chips.

This is programmed in specific memory sections towards the end of the memory... In the linker file for the IAR project we modify the ROM_end region so that if we re-program the chips using IAR EW this data does not get overwritten.

The problem is that when we use the Flash MCU Programmer to upgrade firmware it overwrites this data.

Would it be possible to get a modified version of the Flash MCU Programmer so that we can select the flash region that will be erased ourselves?

I have previously requested the source code to this programmer but this was refused.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There is no such modified version. As far as I know, Flash MCU Programmer has been terminated its maintenance.

Support capability for Flash MCU Programmer is critically limited with near term plans to shut down. Capability for new orders and contracts related to Flash MCU Programmer, including support maintenance, is being closed effective immediately.
