XMC™ link does not provide the 20-pin Core-Sight Debug interface with the extended trace signals. DAEE™4 supports only JLink or XMC™Link. But you can also use Segger JLink Trace Pro along with the free Segger debugger software Ozone if you are interested in tracing. Other alternatives are available from Keil, Ulink Pro.
