What is the maximum output voltage when using LITIX boost controllers in constant output voltage mode?
The maximum output voltage is defined by the maximum duty cycle the device can manage and the minimum input voltage supplied by the battery.
For TLD509x maximum duty cycle is 91% if the internal clock is used.
Theoretically a boost converter can achieve V~OUT~ = 1/(1-D~MAX~) *V~IN~ = 1/(1-0.91) * 6 = 66.6V. In reality the value will be lower due to the voltage drop across the diode.
