Question: What is the maximum power that you would recommend that the CY2304SI parts dissipate and remain within your recommended range while at 85 C ambient?
Answer:
Check your operating condition.
Following is the P=VI calculation for CY2304.
Idd(total) = Idd(unloaded) + CfVn
Idd(unloaded) from datasheet, C = 30pF loaded cap, f = frequency, V = output Voltage, n = #of outputs.
@ 100 MHz with 5 outputs, Idd(total) = 95mA, P = 0.3135 W, Tj = Ta + Pd x ThetaJA, Tj = 115.8 C.
@ 66 MHz with 5 outputs, Idd(total) = 64.7mA, P = 0.2135 W, Tj = 106 C.
@ 33 MHz with 5 outputs, Idd(total) = 34.3mA, P = 0.1132 W, Tj = 96.1 C.
Tj's maximum limit is 150 C.
