The SPIDER family offers smart multichannel SPI switches and controllers, and are divided into three families: SPIDER, SPIDER+ and SPIDER+ LED. The SPIDER+ family, successor to the SPIDER family, offers devices with enhanced performance and flexibility.

The SPIDER family includes 8-channel low-side (LS) switches, the SPIDER+ family includes LS, high-side (HS), and configurable (XS) switches, while the SPIDER+ LED family includes HS and XS switches.

These multichannel SPI drivers are designed to drive low current loads such as LEDs, low-power bulbs, and stepper motors.

SPIDER+ product naming

The part number of a SPIDER+ family device can be used to identify its features and characteristics. SPIDER+ products are named using the TLEaabcd-xxe structure, which is explained in figure 1.

SPIDER+ product naming examples

TLE75242-ESH

This SPIDER+ device comes with two XS channels, four HS channels, and two LS channels, with a TSDSO-24EP package. The device has all features of the SPIDER+ family including limp home and cranking, and an LED pack for HS or XS switches.

TLE75080-ESD

This SPIDER+ device comes with zero XS channels, eight HS channels, and zero LS channels, with a TSDSO-24EP package. The device has all features of the SPIDER+ family including limp home and cranking.
