For the question on timing, following aspects should be taken into consideration:
- For example, when a OC happens in PWM mode, and after the overcurrent filter time (tFOC) OC error is not cleared: the CSOx will report an error after the CSO settling time (tSETmax) and an analogue propagation delay (typ. 1us ). So the delay time after the OC event can be calculation as: tFOC + tSET + 1us. Further details are enclosed in the datasheet.
- after detection of OC, the error will be reported to MCU through SPI, which takes tSET + 1us
- then, off-state diagnostics should be executed to know which HB is shorted (controlled by MCU)
- if the MCU decides to switch from one working option to a new option, the MCU will monitor the device through SPI, which takes max. 3us (assuming tSETmax is 2µs)
