There are two types of NC balls:
- NC: Not Connected. These pins are reserved for future extensions and shall not be connected externally.
- NC1: Not Connected. These pins are not connected at the package level and will not be used for future extensions.
The general rule is that NC and NC1 must not be connected to any net including power supply or ground connections in the PCB routing.
Note: This KBA applies to the following series of AURIX™ MCUs:
- AURIX™ TC2xx series
- AURIX™ TC3xx series
