The “input hysteresis” parameter is for digital input pin. It describes to what extent a digital input pin will not toggle, when the input voltage has noise near VIH or VIL.

Consider the following case:

Assume on one silicon that VIH equals VIH.first and VIL equals VIL.first. Accordingly, the input hysteresis is small, and the high and low toggling thresholds are close to each other. As a consequence, small noise might already exceed the input hysteresis and cause (unwanted) toggling.

Please refer to VIH, VIL, and input hysteresis defined in the datasheet in order to make sure that the digital input pin interprets the input voltage as expected.
