The tools available in the toolchain, enables the user to manually add flags by editing the Command line pattern under the Expert settings.

Open the Build settings of a project, right-click on a project, then select the Properties -> C/C++ Build -> Settings -> TASKING C/C++ Compiler.

Additional flags can be added manually after the placeholder ${FLAGS} in the Command line pattern text field, as shown in the figure below.
