What information is available to assist in design of a Closed-Loop implementation of a Veriable Frequency Drive (VFD) motor control using EVAL-M3-IM564?

As per my understanding, EVAL-M3-IM564: The board is equipped with all assembly groups for sensorless field-oriented control (FOC)/(V/Hz control).

I believe it is possible to implement Closed Loop Control for Single Phase Input VFD on this EVM with a sensor interfaced(Speed encoder from Motor and other sensors ).

Are there any application notes or Infineon reference designs for such closed-loop implementation for VFD?

Hi,

EVAL-M3-IM564 is an evaluation(power ) board which is part of the iMOTION™ modular application design kit. The MADK platform is intended to use various power stages with different control boards. This board can
be interfaced through the 30-pin iMOTION™ MADK M3 interface connector. Since the board is  designed to give solutions of sensorless control of permanent magnet motors, there is no provision for speed sensing in the board. Now, as you want to do close loop control with speed sensing, other control board should have 30-pin iMOTION™ MADK M3 interface connector. For Speed sensing you can have a separate connector on the control board to connect to sensor output.

unfortunately, we do not have any app note in this regard
