IGBT Forum Discussions
Dear all,
I'm a college student and I need to realize some analysis in LTSpice to design a Gate Driver for the IGBT FF400R12KT4P. I couldn't find its Spice .lib model neither in the component's page nor in the Simulation Model Finder (https://www.infineon.com/simulation). Can you please help me to get this Spice model file or any dual IGBT Spice model file?
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Have a nice day!
Show LessHi ,
I am reading your application note of " InfineonApplicationNote_PFCCCMBoostConverterDesignGuide-AN-v02_00-EN:
in that regarding inductor selection application note stated that - " In this evaluation board design, a 60 μ permeability Kool Mu core from Magnetics Inc. is used. It consists of two stacked of “Kool Mμ” 77083A7 toroids cores from Magnetics Inc., with 64 turns of 1.15 mm copper wire"
I am little bit curious about details calculation of number of turns specially for two stacked core, I did some study that says in parallel stacking of two cores inductance is doubled mean length of magnetic core is remain same and area of cross section is double is it correct ?
Can I use following formula to calculate number of turns
L = ((u0 * ur* N^2*A) / l)
where u0 = permeability of free space , ur = relative permeability of core material , N = Number of turns , A = cross sectional area of core and l = mean length of magnetic path

Hello everyone,
My question is if there exist an IGBT transistor able to switch an inductive load of 1 ohm with extremely low frequency (10 Hz or less) at 350V, or even more, to 700V.
My purpose is to replace a DC-DC SCR discharge circuit with an IGBT, to be able to control the period of the repetitive single pulses (10ms) in a practical manner, just as any igbt or mosfet could drive, but this time with hundreds of amps.
I already tried 350V 2 ohm with many Infineon power discrete IGBTs that say that are capable of switching 600 or 750V and 200A pulsed or more (1 ms) at the absolute maximum package ratings, but all fried at the tenth pulse or so. At this moment I didn't spend more money on IGBT modules because I want to be sure of the FBSOA, but it seems that the module series datasheets always omit that part, contrary to discrete series.
Thanks in advance, and congratulations for all the effort and technology that you Infineon are bringing to us 🙏
Show LessHi All,
I had used the following IGBT Module in motor driver application 2years earlier. But due to some reasons, I'd stopped there.
Part Number - FS35R12W1T4 FS35R12W1T4
Now I'm engaged in development of the same. But the IGBT that I'm looking for gone obsolete. Can anyone suggest some alternative matching the same specifications?
Thanks
Show LessHello,
I am looking for the datasheet for PN: FZ800R12KF5NOSA1
Many thanks,

Show LessHello,
I am building a high voltage inverter operating at 200v. i am using isolated gate drivers and the supply for the gate drivers (15V) is also isolated. But the inverter switching causes a voltage spike in the gate driver power supply . the spike is happening at 40khz which is twice the switching frequency of the inverter. I have dc link capacitors and mlcc filtercaps attached to the dc line
Can someone help me figure out why the inverter switching noise is propagating to the low voltage side.
Thank you
