IEWS20R5135IPB - Availability

Hello,

It seems the very nice IEWS20R5135IPB (Integrated Power Device) is not available anymore.

Specific part number I am looking for is: IEWS20R5135IPBXKMA1

Can anyone from Infineon (@myinfineon @ToInfineon @SSS_infineon @Infineon_Team ) help directly to get, at least a small handful of samples? I am not asking for free samples, I would be willing to pay. Important is, to get physical devices soon.

Even better would be to know: are the devices going to be manufactured again in the future?

Yes, this product is not available because it is a discontinued part.

Thank you for your information.

I am aware of other discrete IGBTs that could do the
job (IHW20N135R5XKSA1/IHW30N135R5XKSA1/IHW40N135R5XKSA1); the key part with
the now-discontinued product were actually the integrated driver and
protections.

The core of our design is based on EVAL-IH-R5IPB-A-V1 (EVAL-IH-R5IPB-A-V1 - Infineon Technologies).
Similarly, the application is Induction Cook.

Then, the questions are:

- Can you please recommend an IGBT + Driver combination that matches the
design / configuration of EVAL-IH-R5IPB-A-V1 as closely as possible?
- Is there any Reference Design / Application Note available for such a
combination including the necessary protections (equivalent to the
ones on IEWS20R5135IPB)?

We don't have other similar solutions like this integrated switch an driver.

same functionality can be done with discrete solutions with IHW40N65R6.
