Hello.

I plan to use HyperFlash memory with  my new iMX RT project, but I want to have a possibility to use QSPI Flash instead of it, with shared footrpint. Are there any QSPI Flash memories pin-compatible with HyperFlash? From HyperBus Specification (doc. 001-99253) it seems to be true (page 5, 6), but when I look at QSPI datasheets, everywhere is "DNU" ball in place of signals used by HyperFlash (not "RFU" or "NC", as I hoped).

Regards,

Jakub

Hello Jakub,

As you observed, all of our new QSPI flash devices have "DNU" pins in instead of "RFU" or "NC" pins as mentioned in the document 001-99253 (http://www.cypress.com/file/213356/download ).

Thanks and Regards,

Sudheesh

Hello Sudheesh,

thanks for your reply.

That's a pity, maybe some 3rd party QSPI memories will be pin-to-pin compatible with Cypress HyperFlash.

Jakub
