Dear Community memebers,

TLE4999C8 requires a programming pulse (beside SICI communication) to store EEPROM content. On which pin of the IC do I need to apply the programming pulse? The datasheet and user manual does not contain this information.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi @danielvass ,

You'll have to protect the microcontroller, if the microcontroller is directly connected while applying the programming pulse to the OUT pin. In the evaluation kit, there is a relay implemented internally to do the same.

The S1_OUT is the OUT pin of the sensor. This can be connected to the microcontroller side (pin 2 of K3 relay)  and here you have a digital modulation (either SPC / SICI interface) or to a higher voltage source (V_SYNC - pin 4 of K3 relay) which can implement the programming pulse.

Hope this helps !

Best regards,

Deepa

Hi @danielvass ,

You’ll have to use out pin for the same. Please refer https://www.infineon.com/dgdl/Infineon-TLE4999C-UserManual-v01_00-EN.pdf?fileId=5546d4627956d53f0179... for further details.

Hello @Deepa_V  ,

Thank you for your fast answer!

Just one more question. Do I need to disconnect the 5V pullup before applying programming pulse? I mean if pull-up is connected, the programming pulse will start at 5V level and goes up to ~15V. Is it OK this way?
