The pulsed current capability at Vds=600V is also in that case basically null.
May I know the phenomenon root cause? it's material or horizontal structure of power device limitation?
I want to use CoolGaN™ 600 V half-bridge evaluation platform featuring GaN EiceDRIVER™. However, this board expects a 50ohm pulse generator. I wonder whether it works well with my DSP F28379D.

Hi, i am using IGT60R070D1 for boost pfc converter.
I am trying to estimate the power losses (switching and conduction losses) before make the system.
The conduction loss is easily calculated, but the switching loss is difficult to calculate because there is an absence of information (ex, Eon and Eoff).
Is there a separate way to receive information about Eon and Eoff?
And doesn't Infineon provide the Plecs simulation tool?

My customer want to know the IGT60R070D1's VGS max value. If I look into the data sheet, these is no value specified. Competitor GaN System has a similar performance to IGT60R070D1, part number GS-065-060-5-B-A has a VGS max value of +7V and +10V@<1 us. Pls get back to me with your answer.Show Less

Is it ok to connect NC pads to either of Drain, Source terminals? In the layout, due to the NC pins being adjacent to the Drain pins, the drain copper pour is shaped weirdly and this limits the number of vias I can place on it.
Connecting NC pads with Drain would give me a nice rectangular pour which will make routing easier and more vias can be added for higher current capability.
Also, will connecting NC pads with Drain/Source cause emissions? Or affect the package working internally? Show Less
