Hello All,

I'm using IGCM20F60GA to drive a three phase motor.

It is working very well.

Now I'm trying to use the CIPOS as two leg full bridge.

In order to spin the dc motor in one direction I keep phase V high in full conduction.
and I modulate phase U low.

It is possible for the power module to work like this?

I suspect we can have some problem with bootstrap circuit.

Can anyone help me to understand why this configuration is not working?

Hi

We see no issue in using only two legs of the IGCM20F60GA. What is the switching frequency / duty cycle and the bootstrap capacitor value? Make sure there is sufficient time to charge the bootstrap capacitor or use lower values. Also look at any undervoltage conditions.
The under-voltage detection operates with a rising supply threshold of typical VBSUV+ = 12.1V and a falling threshold of VBSUV- = 10.4V.

Best regards,

Srivatsa
