Hello everyone, I'm currently using the 1EDN7116G to drive GaNFETs, and I must lower the PWM input voltage. The PWM is generated by an IRS2452AM (referenced to -B) and has an amplitude of 12V. As the 1EDN7116G PWM input voltage must be 5V or 3.3V, I wanted to lower it by using a voltage divider like this :
However, i don't know if it's a good idea since it alters the TDI input resistor symmetry. So my question is : is a using a voltage divider OK (and what resistor values should I choose) or must I find another way to lower the voltage ?Show Less
we are using 6ed2230s12t gate driver IC for a three-phase motor drive, design is working smoothly, and now we have added over current protection of 22 amperes through shunt resistors. the value of shunt resistors is two 100 milliohms and one 470 milliohms in parallel, the total shunt resistance became 45 milliohms with a 10W power rating of each resistor (total 30W). for 22 amperes the voltage across shunt resistors is 1V which is then divided through a voltage divider which is 5.1K for each R1 and R2, so the total voltage across ITRIP becomes 0.50V. This is over-designed which is designed using the Infineon datasheet for the mentioned gate driver, pictures are also attached.
now the problem we are facing is the gate driver reset with a very small load even at the start or sometimes try to start but resetting, again and again, our team has tested this design for the previous batch of gate driver ICs, and it was working smoothly but with the new batch of ICs, we are facing the problem. there is a noise on the ITRIP pin but the same noise was on the previous gate driver which was working fine. The gate driver heats up after a day or even after an hour some time which damaged the IGBT module.
For service purpose, we are looking for some hundreds TCA785. But some sources offers also TCA785P , TCA785HKLA or TCA785X.
Can someone tell the difference?
I tried with Infineon Website, but just found a datasheet for TCA785, without any suffix.

In 1ED3461MU-12 driver IC, RDYC Pin can be used as a input as well as output but in datasheet output current has mentioned but input current not mentioned in it. I wanted to know the input current for RDYC pin.
Following are some doubts while designing the driver using above mentioned IC 2ED020I12-F2.
1. Is Reset require external pull up, if yes how to calculate its value
2. I have selected 2.2k ohms pull for Ready and fault pin. is it correct as 4.7k ohms pull up is used in datasheet circuits.
May I know we can use 1ED31xxMU12H with SI/SIC MOSFET to design high switch? please help advise, thanks!
I am looking for gate driver to use to drive low side back to back connected MOSFET switch to disconnect the battery .
it needs to support common source or common drain configuration of MOSFET's to disconnect the Battery rail in negative path.
Please advise if the part numbers 1ED020I12F2XUMA1 & 1ED020I12B2XUMA1 can be replacement to each other?
