hello,
I am using the 6EDL7141 with an STM32 microcontroller and have several questions which I don't believe are answered in the datasheet.
First I will explain the problems I am having:
1. When VBUS voltage input is above ~7V and EN_DRV is enabled, the DVDD output shuts off. At this point the 6EDL consumes ~40mA @ 12V
2. When VBUS voltage input is above ~7V and EN_DRV is disabled (low), the DVDD is ON and at 3.3V setpoint.
3. When VBUS voltage input is a bit lower than 7V and EN_DRV is enabled, DVDD is ON and at 3.3V setpoint.
4. The 6EDL will not reply to SPI commands.
I expect that there is some fault when EN_DRV is enabled? But why is this related to input voltage?
Questions:
1. Does SPI communication from 6EDL require that EN_DRV is on (high)?
2. Why might I be experiencing the above behavior. I have capacitance close to load and close to output of 3.3V DVDD
I have attached a schematic.
Thank you,
Alec

Hello,
If we use two output channels (GA&SA, GB&SB) of 2ED4820-EM to drive common drain topology of back to back MOSFETs and discrete level shifter to drive the precharge path, where should the 'S1' connection of common source configuration of MOSFETs (in precharge path) goes in jumper J11..?
Thanks.

Hi Infineon
As I know, there are some calculation and analysis result about function safety in <Safety Analysis Summary Report> of Infineon chips, and also I can get a FMEDA result or the chips' base failure rate.
The question is : Considering there are many chips or electrical components in ECU, according to failure rate and failure mode in standard(like SN29500) I can calculate the FMEDA result(SPFM/LFM/PMHF), but how chips participate in FMEDA calculation? How considering the failure mode and it's proportion, and the safety mechanism? So then I can get the value of single point/residual/dual point detected failure rate...

Hi there,
I know that the driver can supply 2 different levels of current to the gate during turn-on, is it possible to inject a 3 level by changing the input voltage level of the SPEED pin?
Thanks
Show LessHi
I have 3 gate drivers 2ED4820-EM. On all 3 I can individually switch channel A without any issues. But on all 3 channel B reports ITRIP as soon as I set it to ON. Edit: it reports ITRIP on the one chip I want to set to ON, but all 3 have the same behaviour.
I cant figure out what the problem is. I already posted my design here and it seems ok. I played around with filter and blank times but no success.
Furthermore I can see on the osciloscope that the channel tries to switch on but immediately turns off again. I apply the same load which works on channel A.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks
Andy
Show LessDo you have a dimensional drawing of EVAL_6EDL7141_TRAP_1SH?
Or would it be possible to receive 3D data (STEP data, etc.)?
I looked on the web, but couldn't find it, so I contacted you.
Regrads,
Show LessHello, I'm looking forward to using a 2ED2184 driver to control a BLDC motor in a boostrap configuration circuit, I'm using IRFB7740 N-Channel MOSFETs, my doubt is:
How can I determine the input/output PWM frequency to control the driver (e.g. I'm using an Arduino to send the input PWM)? I've seen that 100 kHz is fine in the output, but if I want the output to be that 100 kHz frequency, what should the input PWM frequency be?
Show LessHey
The 2EDF7275F driver is used to drive two MOSFETs (IMW65R048M1H) for the attached high-voltage AC switching.
For the 2EDF7275F, I use two sources: 3.5V for S1:VDDI and 12V for S2:VDDA.
The data sheet and application note only report the case of a half-bridge where the switch is connected between the high voltage source and ground, but in my case, the switch is connected between the high voltage source and the load. In this case, I'm wondering where I need to connect the ground on the S2 to make sure the circuit is still isolated.
Also, please give me advice on the attached design in general.
thanks

Show LessAre there any structural differences between IRS2110SPBF, IR2110STRPBF and IR25607 related to noise immunity?
※I know there is a structural difference between IRS2110S and IR2110S with and without clipping diodes.
Also, is there any difference in concept between IR (Gen2) and IRS (Gen5)?
Functional differences between A and B were referenced in the attached document.
