Hello

I'm trying to Switch battery Power which has 19.2 ~ 21.6V / pK 400A / nominal Max 200A

And trying to use 12 X IRF7480 with AUIR3241S driver

Is my configuration is OK ?

I upload my schematic, it wil be very appreciate If you review my schematic

Hi,

Thank you for posting on the Infineon Community.

I went through the following sections for the review in the attached schematics,

1) Gate driver.

2) FET array.

I did not see any issues or errors in the above 2 sections of the schematics. The used value for gate driver resistance seems to be correct.
The used gate driver AUIR3241S can be used to drive up to 12 MOSFETs. Please don't exceed this number. If you want to use more FETs in your application ( >12), please use an additional gate driver.
Depending on the external components, the battery voltage can typically go as low as between 3-3.5V.

You can use the attached application note for getting additional details regarding the design considerations for PCB.

Additional questions:

1) The FET array should contain Zener's across each switch as shown below which is not there in your schematics. Can I please know the reason for reducing the Zener count? Have you used a higher rating Zener? If so, can you please  let me know the value?

2) What is the typical load in your application?

Regards,

Abhilash P

Hello Abhilash 🙂

Thank you for your kind reply.

I will not exceed that number, I'm planning to change 12 X FET to 3 X IRL7421

Since it has more smaller Rds,

I didn't noticed that one zener for one FET, I'll add some more zener..

Typical load is Li-ion 6S(19.2 ~ 21.6V) , 200A / For pK it will be 3~400A for 1-2s

Thank you,

Regard Bongjin
