the datasheet for the TLE9210X shows a max operating supply voltage of 28V, but when I exceed 20V DC I get a a VSOV and CPUV bit set in GENSTAT and SUPE bit set in the GSB, if I drop below 20V the unit restarts normally, any ideas what could cause this behavior?

Hi @HeGi_2497906,
Good Day!
Thanks for posting your question in Infineon Community.
The functional range of supply voltage Vs is 6V to 28V.
If VSOVTH (Vs over voltage threshold) is 0, then the functional range of supply voltage is 6V to 18V.
If VSOVTH is 1, then the functional range of supply voltage is 6V to 28V. Please verify Vs Over Voltage Threshold whether it's is 0 or 1.
What is your VSOVTH threshold voltage whether it's 0 or 1?
Best regards,
Vinay
