What are similarites and differences between Gate Driver parts that have been obsoleted and thier recommended replacements?
Infineon's "Power and Sensing Selection Guide 2022" as well as "Gate Driver ICs" under the "Product Selection Guide" section of Infineon's Gate Driver ICs webpage @ https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/power/gate-driver-ics/, have a "Naming Convention" section that doesn't cover the ...21094... parts.
Same is true for the "Nomenclature Guide IPC" under the "Additional Product Information" section also of Infineon's Gate Driver ICs webpage.
Aside: There is a note on both IRS21094 and IR21904 webpages that Infineon's Silicon On Insulator technology is recommended over these parts. I understand the preference is toward the EICE Driver parts. For customers maintaining existing designs, there is a need to know specific differences of drop in replacement parts.

Hi,
Thank you for posting on the Infineon community.
The difference between the 2 part numbers is explained in this Application note.
The continued availability of any part is dependent on market demand, product portfolio rationalization and manufacturing ability. Should any of these factors no longer warrant continuing a part on a fabrication line we will formally issue a Product Discontinuation Notice specifying a LOD (Last Order Date) and a LDD (Last Delivery Date), as well as recommend an alternative part, where applicable. Infineon reserves the right to obsolete the product prior to the expiration of the Supply Period if there is a lack of demand and corresponding orders in a 12-month period. The customers can work with their existing parts even though it is obsolete but they are not recommended for newer designs due to their unavailability and feature degradation. Please go with the active and preferred parts for newer designs

Abhilash,
Thank you for access to the Application note.
Is it correct to assume that the silicon die process technology changed from IR to IRS products?
