Gate Driver IC's

I am a PSpice 9.2 version user. However, starting from IR2101, all of the motor driver IR-series were made for SIMetrix.

Please make a library for PSpice as well. Other ic as well.

Previously, in the personal support section, when IR2101 said there was an error, the IR2010 library was sent to me. So I downloaded

It showed a different error from the library of the existing Infineon website.

In the end, I downloaded IR2010 from Infineon's website and simulated it.

Motor driver IC: IR2010 is showing an error that does not work properly in PSpice 9.2 version.

The error message says that the TOFFVDD3 setting is incorrect. Please advise how to change it.

For simulation, it is difficult to upload the schematic file .DSN file here, so I put it on my personal blog.

You can download the schematic file by downloading it from the link below.

Hello Darkhyun,

For your reference, here is an app note detailing what types of simulation files Infineon provides:
https://www.infineon.com/dgdl/Infineon-AN_2020_17_Simulation_models_of_IGBTs_and_power_silicon_diode...
This app note refers to IGBTs and SiC diodes, however, it is applicable to most Infineon devices.

From Table 1:

In the case of IR2010, as explained in my previous response, we do not provide the .slb and .asy symbol files.
Please note that the .lib file is compatible with OrCAD PSpice.

Best regards,
Pablo

Hello Darkhyun,

Thank you for posting on Infineon Forums.

Our simulation models are guaranteed to work with no errors only in Simetrix.

You mentioned that you contacted some personal support section, may I know the details of this?
They may have sent you a PSpice optimized library.
However, PSpice 9.2 was released over 17 years ago, which may not be compatible with the latest models.
I recommend updating the software to the latest for maximum compatibility.

Best regards,
Pablo

Please explain where this was developed for Simetrix

And I don't understand why they insist on providing a library only for Simetrix, which I don't use very often?

PSpice is the trend. So please provide it for PSPice, and I am attaching the IR2010 library file.

The IR2010 library doesn't mention it's for SIMetrix.

I don't think it's sincere, seeing that it's for PSpice and it's written like that in the simulation model, and it's written for SImetrix in the library.

The forum bulletin board is also a mess, and the library provides only a limited spice, and even the name is wrong.

PSpice is a widely used simulation tool, so please write and provide a library file accordingly.

Otherwise, it will inevitably be inconvenient for customers as they have to go through the hassle of buying your own chip and putting it on a breadboard to test it.

Simetrix

Please don't stick with Simetrix.

As a bonus, the IR2010 library file is linked and uploaded.

Please confirm. No text says it's for Simetrix.

Hello Darkhyun,

Infineon provides simulation models in PSpice language.

We use Simetrix in order to verify that the models behave as intended.

As Cadence PSpice uses the same syntax, our models are compatible with Cadence PSpice.
Therefore, the .lib file included in the downloadable package can be used in PSpice.
However, the user needs to create the symbol, as we only include .sxslb symbol files (for Simetrix).

As long as your PSpice license is valid, you should be able to update PSpice 9.2 to at least 17.X.
If you run into a problem even after updating, please let us know.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,
Pablo

P.S.: If you want to send us files, please attach them directly to the forum thread.
We do not download files from other sources such as blogs for security reasons.
