Hello, downloaded the new 4.1.4 yesterday, I did not update 4.1.2 but leave it as it was.
It seems that I have problems wit using projects for the XMC1400, XMC 4700 and XMC4800.
At creating a project for these controllers I get the message:
Device Description Libraries are not found for selected device (XMC1.4.04.Q064.ALL)
in DAVE Library store.
Please install latest Device Descriptions.
What did I wrong with this new installation? Show Less

Dear Infineon,
I have 2 SPI devices on my XMC4500 SPI bus with very different configurations so I have been trying to use the SPI001_Configure() function. However I have found the following problems with the function...
1) The SPI001_Configure() function code is very differently to the SPI001_Init() function code contained in the DAVE_Init() function. This makes no sense.
2) The SPI001_Configure() function cannot be used to change some settings which are set in the DAVE configuration tabs for the App. e.g. TX & RX FIFO sizes
3) The SPI001_Configure() function incorrectly sets the IOCR0 and HWSEL registers
4) The SPI001_Configure() function sets reserved bits in some registers
5) The SPI001_Configure() function sets bits that have no effect in some registers
6) The SPI001_Configure() function changes port pin configurations that are un-related to SPI
7) The SPI001_Configure() function does not flush the TX or RX FIFO's
I have written my own code to reliably switch between the 2 SPI configurations. The above problems and endless crashing of the Tasking debug environment have caused a 2 week delay to a critical project.
My questions are...
1) Are you committed to providing bug fixes for DAVE3 ? (I cannot migrate to DAVE 4 on existing products as this would require complete re-validation)
2) Are DAVE3 bugs fixed in DAVE 4 ?
3) Is DAVE4 a big improvement over DAVE3 ? The xmc4500 is a fantastic device let down by DAVE. For this reason I must consider moving to another manufacturer.
4) Is the Tasking debug environment improved with DAVE 4 ?
Thank you very much
Best regards
Aaron

There are reports of DAVE v4.1.2 not working correctly on Windows 7 (64bit) and Windows 10 (64bit) when Kasperky antivirus is installed.
From our investigation, it has been found that Kaspersky antivirus is interfering with solver execution.
Currently, we are in contact with Kaspersky to understand how to resolve this issue and will update in this thread once it is fully resolved.
Workaround: To resolve this issue, please uninstall the Kasperky antivirus. (Disabling it is not enough, the antivirus should be removed from your system.) Show Less

Hi,
I'm using Dave 4.1.2 and I want to add CAN_NODE [4.1.8] app. When I do so, I get an error: "Required APP [GLOBAL_CAN] with version >= [4.0.2] is not found in Library Store. Please install required APPs."
When I add GLOBAL_CAN [4.0.10] manually, I also get an error: "Required APP [CLOCK_XMC4] with version >= [4.0.2] is not found in Library Store. Please install required APPs."
When I add CLOCK_XMC4 [4.0.12] manually, I works but when I add GLOBAL_CAN afterwards, I get the same error.
The Problem occurs with any app using CLOCK_XMC4 [4.0.12]
Any ideas?
For me it looks like Dave thinks 4.0.12 is smaller/older than 4.0.2
