Hi,
Working on a project using DAVE 3.1.8 and the XMC4500. I need a fast software interrupt to do some waveform generation using an external SPI DAC.
I'm trying to add the SYSTM002 app to my project and I receive the following message:
Not sure how to go about diagnosing where the problem is.
(the attached PDF file has the resources I'm currently using)
Thanks,
Kirk Show Less

I have tried a dozen times to turn off automatic updates, but it keeps turning itself back on. I am un-checking "Automatically find new updates and notify me" on the Install/Update | Automatic Updates panel of the Preferences window. Half the time the change does not take effect. The rest of the time it gets reset to checked when I restart DAVE.
How can I absolutely and forever turn off the extremely annoying automatic updates check? Show Less

Hi
I'm having a problem searching the DAVE Forum. I put in I2S or IIS in the search box (tried also the Advanced search) and nothing comes up. I know there are at least two threads with I2S in the title but I just cannot find them - I know this because yesterday I printed them out!
I wanted to add a reply to the one entitled "XMC4500 I2S questions". It would be nice if the search tool honoured the following search patterns:
1) quoted strings are obeyed, i.e. case insensitive but otherwise exact;
2) single words are obeyed, i.e. anywhere in the text/title;
3) multiple words can be joined with AND or OR, and there is support for NOT, and use of parentheses to ensure search order;
4) (optional) regular expression syntax - probably asking a bit much;
5) searches can be done using the thread ID (requires revealing the ID) - I'm assuming the threads are held in a regular database and thus have a numeric unique key;
6) Tags should automatically be part of the search. [Not much point in having them otherwise.]
I know this is a big ask, but it would help developers like me to get to the heart of an issue quicker.
NB I notice that the search options change once the focus has moved away from the thread list, it is like there is another search tool being used. Consistency is everything. Show Less

Hi,
I'm using XMC1000 with DAVE for 3~ BLDC Motor Control. Everything works fine with the library-apps. There are options for single-, two- or three-shunt configuration. The app assumes low-side current shunts.
Is there an easy way for high-side current sensing? The sampling of the currents has to be done at different times.
Can you please give me some advice where and how to modify the code?
With best regards,
S. Moench Show Less

Update of DAVE Apps and Device Descriptions.
New DAVE Apps libraries (update site v1.0.54) have been published on the internet:
- DAVEApps_Library_001 has been updated to v1.0.54
- DAVEApps_MotorControl_Library_001 has been updated to v1.0.22
- DAVEApps_Lighting_Library_001 has been updated to v1.0.12
- DAVEApps_HMI_Library_001 v1.0.0 (no change)
- Device Description libraries have been updated (fix of a ADC register issues in XMC4000 family)
In total 4 new DAVE Apps are released (3 for motor control) and more than 30 DAVE Apps are updated (mainly to add support for XMC1000 derivatives which were not supported so far), also a few issues have been corrected. More details and installation instructions can be downloaded.
Please note, this DAVE Apps libraries update site v1.0.54 can only be used with DAVE v3.1.8 please download and install DAVE v3.1.8 if not done yet.
We also updated example projects for motor control applications. They can be downloaded directly from DAVE (->Help ->Install DAVE Apps/Example Libraries, then select in work with “DAVE Example Library Manager”) or download projects directly from a dedicated web page (it may take a few days before this page is updated). Hi,
we are trying to run DAVE inside a virtual machine to roll it out on a larger number of desktop computers at a university. Unsupervised installation is highly desired and would keep the administration effort on a managable level.
In our first test, everything was fine with DAVE 3.1.6 and a manual installation inside the virtual machine.
In the current setup, DAVE and the Segger Tools were installed separately.
DAVE 3.1.8 is running properly and the ARM simulator works. The Segger J-Link 4.74 Tools communicate with the XMC4500 Relax board. However, the Tasking debugger in DAVE crashes with an error that it could not find the Segger tools.
Is there a config file where the path to Segger can be set after the installation?
Thanks,
Matthias Show Less

Hello everbody
I wanted to use LEDTS001 App in my project but this application has disappeared from the list (App Selection View). But when I open LEDTS001_Example1 the App shows up in the list. I'm using DAVE 3.1.8, Apps are up to date. I tried to open several other examples but it seems that the App only appears in LEDTS001_Example. Is there a way to manually add the apps to my project?
Best regards

Each of this tools is either not supporting JTAG or not for free. I don't want to pay an expensive license, since I need it for a private project.
Cheers, Felix

All major tool suppliers do support and have easy way to use the libraries configured and generated in DAVE.
You can use any of the famous commercial tools from Keil-MDK, ARM, Atollic & IAR etc whichever you feel comfortable.
You may generate the required libraries in DAVE and import them to your application SW.
All details on how to import the DAVE generated code in a third party tool can be found in DAVE support portal. Show Less
