Hi,
I do not know whether this post is for DAVE forum or XMC one...let the moderators decide..
I am using XMC1200 for an intelligent lightning system project. I work with XMC1200 LED Lighting Application Kit and DAVE 3.1.10 . I use DMX512RD01_Example1_XMC12 demo project as a base. So far the project goes pretty well. Only few things left to be done and one of it is the next.
1. I need to allocate at least 24 bit number in FLASH memory at known location. My application software will use the number stored in that location. In the software the number will be always set to 0.
2. I must also make this number changing each time when a device is programmed and going out from the production line. So at the end each device will have a unique number in FLASH
Regarding the first part I remember that long time ago we made some variable passing from linker. The allocation was in linker script file...but this linker script looks very different than the one I know...probably because it is gcc linker...
Regarding the second part. I found some posts here how to make the programming with batch files. I will use it as a base...and hex editor will be needed I presume...
Thank you

Hi,
I'm quite new to dave and when trying to explore the USBD_MS_Example (with a XMC4500 Relax Kit). I couldn't change the StorageMedia in the UIEditor (USBD_MS/0) to Flash.
I would like to view the program that enables me to read/write files into the local flash memory of the board instead of the MMC card reader.
Can anyone help me? Show Less

Hello,
who can help me finding the App configuration data?
It must be stored somewhere within the project directory but I can not locate it anywhere.
I have problems after changing some App parameters, the file Dave3.h contains the content of CAN001_Conf.h.
Which then includes again Dave3.h which ends up in an endless include loop.
making clean, call the resolver and code generator does not solve this issue.
I hope that I can repair it by editing the app configuration file. Show Less

Since a few hours I get the errors: "Error occured while executing solver" and "Solver failed to execute, code generation can not be started" when building code. I don't think I changed anything on my PC. How can I find where the problem lies? Does anyone know? I have no solver log file.

When you have a large number of Apps in the "S/W App Connectivity View" especially there are a lot of instances of the same App. You can do a quick search in the "App Dependency TreeView".
The "App Dependency TreeView" provides a tree list of all DAVE Apps used in the project, you can easily find a specific App by clicking on it. At this time, only selected App with its dependencies will be displayed in the SW Connectivity View.
You can resume back the whole project's graph display by clicking the "Refresh and Restore both App Tree and Graph View's" button. Show Less

Hi,
I am trying to sue the I2C slave app (I2C003) and can't figure out if something simple is possible. I have 12 boards that I need to address and I want identical code on each. So I put a quad dip switch on the board and will set each one. I am trying to figure out how to read the switches and use that to set the slave's I2C address. Can someone help me on this?
thanks,
jerry Show Less

Hi all,
I have simple program in XMC4500. It is only one file Main.c
How can I translate it without IDE (without DAVE)?
my assumption:
1) create new empty folder e.g. "MySourceCode"
2) create Main.c with some code
3) copy there arm-none-eabi-gcc.exe, arm-none-eabi-objcopy.exe, make.exe ... (I do not know what else is needed) ... from ..\DAVE-3.1.10\ARM-GCC\bin\
4) create makefile, ... .ld file (I do not know what else is needed)
5) execute these files (with some parameters ... from command prompt... finaly from .bat)
6) get ... .hex file (which is possible to download to XMC4500)
Is this process possible?
Please help.

Hello,
I'm trying to send data to my XMC4500 relax kit over UART. For this I want an interrupt function to be called when a certain amount of bytes are in the FIFO buffer. To do this I use the following config:
When I click solve & save, everything is OK. However, when I generate the code, the signal connection just disappears, without an error or a warning. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
thanks in advance. Show Less
