DAVE4 can't open with JAVA issue

Hi DAVE support team,

My customer met a question.
His DAVE4 and DAVE3 can't work correctly in his PC.

Their computer's JAVA version is ver.8 (new version) jre1.8.0.60
Do you have any idea?

Can you please get the exact error message?

Both DAVE4 and DAVE3, have their own JRE bundled inside and does nor depend on system JAVA

Hi Ningareddy,

They are the same issue with "can't add Apps in project" at DAVE4.
But they didn't use Kaspersky Anti Virus.
It is McAfee Anti Virus.

For DAVE3: see attached jpeg file.

Hi Dennies Chu,

This issue was related to heap size (Machine RAM).

The machine does not have enough RAM to run DAVE3.

We can do following work around and se if it works

1. Check RAM size (min. is 4GB)
2. If RAM size is less than 4GB then
a. Close DAVE3
b. Go to DAVE 3 installed location (/DAVE-3.1.10\eclipse)
c. Open DAVE-3.1.10.ini
d. Replace 512 to 256
e. Restart DAVE3

Hi Dennies Chu,

This was due to anti-virus software. Until now, we only knew that DAVE4 does not work when "Kaspersky Total Security-Version[16.0.0.614.0.17.0]" was installed.

Recently we found that, with Kaspersky Total Security-Version[16.0.0.614.0.17.0], DAVE 4 is functioning properly.

We will check about "McAfee Anti Virus" and get back to you.
