The current DAVE tool is built on Eclipse 3.7 (Indigo). It is complied and realised with Java 1.6.0_24.
1) DAVE is not compatible to Eclipse 4.x (Juno) due to incompatibility between Eclipse "Juno" and "Indigo"
2) Eclipse 3.6 (Helios) doesn't have all the updated features used in DAVE

1) Don't use the latest version of Java in order to avoid unpredictable behaviour such as broken functionality of DAVE etc.
2) Don't install Dave updates on any other Eclipse because of JRE1.6
3) Can try to install GNU compilers, GDB and other plug-ins on DAVE 3.1.6 setup

Possible workaround (2 tools independently used):
1) Use DAVE to generate the required libraries for the XMC microcontrollers with DAVE Apps
2) Reference the generated library code to the Juno based tool chain (linked folder)
3) Copy project settings (eg. include path, library path, etc), startup files and GCC linker script from the DAVE project to the Juno project
