From previous TLI4971 support discussions and a second read of the MS2GO manual my understanding is that the little MCU board and its interface is an adequate tool to connect to a board mounted TLI4971 and read its current EEPROM setting as long as the MCU is connected to GND and Aout of the board mounted chip.

In this state it can also temporarily reprogram the board mounted TLI4970 as long as VDD on the TLI4971 is not disconnected?

If the above is true, after installing a new program in the onboard TLI4971 chip ram, if we have another circuit apply 20 VDC to the OCD2 pin for the required minimum time, will this chip now be permanently programmed to the new settings?

Thanks

Dave

Hi @Decook1110 ,

In the MS2Go kit, we actually dump the configuration setting in the RAM. So, it is not for the permanent programming. You have to use SICI interface. For that you could use a Current sensor programmer too, Link: https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/evaluation-boards/cur-sensor-programmer/.

Additionally, if you go through the Section 4.2 Programming Example in the Programming Guide, the sequence expects you to provide Programming voltage to OCD2 pin at specific time. (Go through Table 12).

Thanks and best regards,
Yashraj
