Show LessHi,
I purchased MA12070PXUMA1 chips for my prototype boards in July 2023 from Digikey assuming that they were the new silicon revision according to datasheet V1.01 from 2022-02-09.
It seems that fixes from errata sheet V1.0 of 2019-04-08 are not included in the chips that I have. Especially output polarity in BTL mode is still reversed and the amplifier reacts to gain adjustment messages via I2C to register 0x25, which should not be the case anymore according to datasheet V1.01.
The imprint on the chips says:
MERUS(TM)
MA12070P
LF224696.00
H2315
Can anyone determine if this is the old or new silicon revision?
If I buy new chips, how can I make sure to get the latest silicon revision?
Thank you very much for your support!

Show LessHi,
I've just noticed that the MA2304PNS and the MA2304DNS are both marked as Not Recommended for New Designs (despite having only been launched under two years ago).
Could anyone shed some light on why this has happened? Is there a replacement in the pipeline? Will they continue to be produced for a few years?

Show LessHi,
My customer currently evaluating MA2304 EVAL board and informed us some evaluation results. Then they have a two questions from their evaluation. Pls get back to me with your answer in your return mail. Appreciate for your support!
=== Customer evaluation result and question ===
I would like to inform you that I have finished measuring the audio characteristics of the MA2304 evaluation board.
Audio characteristics were measured using AP in both LCP mode and HAP mode. (Report attached)
The evaluation results are briefly described below.
①Residual noise is much improved compared to MA12070P. ⇒◯
②Comparing LCP mode and HAP mode, residual noise is better in HAP mode, but other than that they are almost the same.
③“THD+N vs level” is worse than MA12070P. (MA12070P is Min0.01%, MA2304 is Min0.03%) ⇒✕
④“THD+N vs Frequency” does not deteriorate even when it is 1KHz or more. (MA12070P deteriorates above 1KHz) ⇒◯
Overall, I'm concerned about the distortion, but other than that, the results were mostly satisfactory.
Questions:
I would like to know the reason for ③ (why is it worse than MA12070?).
I would like to know the reason for ④ (general DAMPs deteriorate at frequencies above 1KHz, but MA2304 does not deteriorate; what kind of processing is done there?).
Power consumption will be measured in next evaluation step.

Show LessDear Developers
we are looking to make class D amplifier... not for low impedance (2/4/8ohm) application
but for 70V/100V application
the use is to drive multiple speakers with Line matching transformer ...(speaker with different power ratings)...
can u please share some information about this
we have made audio amplifier for low impedance application based on IR2092S Chipset and they are running fine.
now looking to develop the 70/100v (installation amplifier, Bosch LBD-1930 120 Watt Plena Booster Amplifier is one example.
looking for some inputs

Hello,
I'm writing to you to ask how temperature conversion looks like (and how long it takes). I'm asking because in the mute state, temperature readout can be between 29-40 deg. C. IR cam is showing 33 deg. C. constantly.
I'm reading register by every 4 seconds and it looks like:
1. I2C start, MA write to 0x08,
2. I2C rep-start,
3. I2C write read address, read byte, nack.
Do I need put, for example, between point 1 and 2 any wait statement?
Thanks!

We are producing PA amplifiers since 1987 and we would like to use class D circuits.
We are using the IRF2092 driver with FCP190N60E mosfets and we would like to get only 100 W into 8 Ohms load.
The problem is that the carrier frequency of 400KHz goes intermitent (not constant) oscillation even with no load. We have changed the OCP setup resistors in many ways but the problem still remains. Also without the overvoltage and undervoltage protection the problem is still the same.
Could you give me some suggestions or if somebody have had this problem which would be the solution?
Thank you in advance for all your help.

Hello,
I'm writing to you to ask about ROM code/static memory in MA2304DNS.
In my project I have few IC's DSP configurations which were generated by GUI and data are stored into external memory. I can run them without any problem (mute, write entire DSP code, restart DSP, unmute). I'm thinking right now, if there is possibility to have stereo amplifier with volume control without performing IC reset. I'm not able to turn off and on power supply so ROM code cannot be applied to DSP. Am I right?
What would be the best solution to get stereo amp with volume control when other code was executed by DSP previously (from 0x1000 address). Of course I can create "empty" DSP routine but this is additional data.
Thanks,
Przemek
Hi
I am designing a Class D power amplifier using IRS 2092 as PWM generator and SA111 as the half bridge. I have some doubt regarding the application circuit of IRS2092 . The circuit given in datasheet and application note is not clearly understood. In the note given by Infineon IRS2092 is connected to MOSFET but in my circuit it is interfaced to SA111. So how are the power rails (+B and -B ) and Vcc connected to IRS2092. The circuit looks complex in the notes. I have +- 5V and + 15V supply rails. There is a confusion on the Vs pin of the IC. If I am connecting SA111 to the IC then how about Vs ?Please suggest the circuit for interfacing SA111 to IRS 2092. Expecting a reply soon.

Hi experts,
Good day.
MA12070P is used on our project, but there is a pop noise during power-on and power-off in Single Ended Mode.
Do you have any ideas how to eliminate the pop noise? Thanks.
