Hi, We delivered MA2304 evaluation board to our customer and customer get back to us with several question regarding MA2304.  Pls respond back to us with your answer.  Appreciate for your support.

Q1) There are four power mode in MA12070P but regarding from datasheet of MA2304, there are only two power mode. As below.  Is my understanding correct?

Q2) If the above recognition is OK, MA2304's LCP mode is MA12070P's D Mode, and HAP mode is MA12070P's
It seems to be equivalent to B mode, is my understanding correct?

Q3) If the above understanding is OK, is it OK to understand that the PWM modulation method of MA2304 is only 5-level (there is no 3-level)?

Q4) If the above understanding is OK, why did you abolish 3-level?

Q5) "PM0/PM1/PM2/PM3" on the Configuration screen (see below) of the GUI tool (MERUS™ audio amplifier configurator)
There is a display, but in what situations do these lights up?

Hi,

Please refer to the below comments.

Q1) There are four power mode in MA12070P but regarding from datasheet of MA2304, there are only two power mode.  Is my understanding correct?

Yes, correct-

Q2) If the above recognition is OK, MA2304's LCP mode is MA12070P's D Mode, and HAP mode is MA12070P's
It seems to be equivalent to B mode, is my understanding correct?

Yes, similar but not exactly the same. For this purpose please observe table 7 in MA2304 datasheet:

Q3) If the above understanding is OK, is it OK to understand that the PWM modulation method of MA2304 is only 5-level (there is no 3-level)?

Yes, typically 5-level modulation provides better efficiency performance.

Q4) If the above understanding is OK, why did you abolish 3-level?

This is to simplify applications. MA2304 still support 3-level modulation with common mode free content. However, the common mode content of 5-level is already significantly lower than traditional 2 and 3 level modulation. Please contact us if 3 level modulation is desired.

Q5) "PM0/PM1/PM2/PM3" on the Configuration screen (see below) of the GUI tool (MERUS™ audio amplifier configurator)
There is a display, but in what situations do these lights up?

This is only for debugging purposes and can be ignored. These “PMx” are different power modes (not power mode profiles) that are optimized depending on the output level.

Thanks!
