Hi,
When the PAS CO2 is built onto the wearable products* then the PAS CO2 is always affected of vibration and shock and can it measure the CO2 concentration accurately?
is there the particular frequency to affect the measurement?
*:Products that fit in your pocket or attach to your helmet

Best regards,

Hi @h_nakamura,

The design guideline document for CO2 sensor mentions that low frequency vibrations can affect the sensor performance, but the sensor can be isolated from vibration to a great extent. Effective ways to avoid the issue is also explained in the document: proper placement of the sensor and by enabling the denoiser filter (section: 3.2, page: 4-5). The implementation and measurement results in an air purifier in the document shows that vibration effects are not affecting the sensor performance (section: 4.2, page: 9-10).

Regarding the frequency that can affect the measurement, the sensor is affected by low frequencies as it is utilizing a microphone. A robust package ensures that the sensor is acoustically isolated from surrounding noise. Both the data sheet (section: 4.1.6, page: 9) and design guideline document (section: 4.1, page: 9) clearly shows that the sensor is  least affected by pink noise up to 95 dB for frequencies from 100 Hz to 10 kHz.

Thanks and regards,

George

Hi George,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I think that the vibration to the wearable device due to walking etc. is about 1Hz to 10Hz, but is there any influence in this range?

Best regards,
H.N
