CAPSENSE™ & MagSense Forum Discussions
my IDE don'thave the CAPSENSE configurator.
I'm new to dealing with psoc, and I'm trying to get the CY8CKIT-022 Sensig fluid level protector working.
I tried using Tera Term for this operation (according to the user guide), and I used both the hex files and burned them directly using the psoc programmer, and the psoc creator files, all from here: https://www.infineon .com/cms/en /product/evaluation-boards/cy8ckit-022/
I have a few questions:
1. The 12-RX sensor was working fine, and I was able to see an update of data while filling the tank with liquid. This is, for example, from the term tare while filling the container:
But when I did this with the 2-RX sensor, I didn't see any update in the tera term, and it stayed at the same output when I filled the container, even when I filled it to the top. Anyone have an idea why?
2. I tried using the term commsnds of tera but I'm not sure what their output should be. If someone can explain this in detail I would appreciate it:
This is the output of the csv command
Can someone explain what each column (detailed at the beginning) means?
And when I use enter command, this is what the output should be:
and this is the actual output (for example):
What does each number in this set mean?
If anyone has any advice for good operation of the 2RX sensor, or even a document in addition to the usr manual of infineon, I would greatly appreciate it.
In addition, if anyone has an idea how to produce the output with an analog signal and not through a tera term, that would help me a lot
Many thanks in advanceShow Less
- Using linear slider
- CSD-mode in use
- Detects finger position well but raw count values(vertical bars in widget view) are mirrored.
When finger is not present -> raw count are high values(bars are up).
when finger is present on slider -> raw counts values decreased and got to zero.
So it's kind of working. Finger position in slider work correctly. Raw count are inverted. Is there possible to invert raw count values? Any kind of help is appreciated
I want to use tuner helper for CY8C4245AXI-483 for touch switch. Is sample code for using tuner helper available for this particular controller?
The reason for asking for code is that I have made a few changes in design. Is it necessary to measure signal (raw count - baseline) for setting proper value of finger threshold or it can be done on trial and error basis.
I have FT value of 85 and it's working fine, but want to check for new design changes.
Please let me know if FT must be set after calculating signal (80 % of signal) or can I skip using tuner helper and set FT manually?
According to the explanation in 184.108.40.206.1 of the capsense design guide, capsense seems to change the sensor raw count values due to environmental changes such as temperature and humidity .
1. Is there any advantage to this in the 3rd and 4th vs. 5th generation capsense?
2. Also, is there any indicator such as characteristic data (e.g. raw data /temp[°C]) for capsense raw counts with respect to temperature?

I designed a board with a CY8CMBR3002 version with only one button used in GPO mode ( no I2C)
We made 2 batches that worked perfectly.
On the third one , capacitive key does not work.
Nothing in design has been changed since first PCB.
We exchanged the suspected 3002 with an old version and defective board works again.
The issue was reported on the initialy working board.
Same with whole boards where we could exchage this component.
So I think something has changed in this component.
Here are the markings :
* Works : CY8CMBR3002-SX 0197468
*Fails : CY8CMBR3002-SX 035715
We are stucked for deliveries with no solution.
Any idea ?Show Less
We want to fix the capsense parameters automatically adjusted by samrtsense (Full Auto - tune) at the time the product goes into mass production.
By fixed, we mean a way to avoid having each parameter in the following links change dynamically with each reset or each scan of the capsense.
The tools we are using are capsense tuner 5.0 and Modus tool box 3.0.
And the device used is PSoC 4100Smax, capsense is 5th generation.

I have a question regarding CapSense. Is the software tested and are test reports available?
I found product qualification reports, but only for the hardware, not for the software itself.
I'd like to know whole booting sequence for the CYAT81658
But I've just found a sequence for XRES without VDDD and othres.
Please refer to the attahced image file
If you know the whole booting sequence waveform, please let me know
For MBR3 auto reset, after 5-second long press and baseline goes high. My question is how long does baseline goes back after fingers are removed?
