Hi,

we have a problem with the CY8CMBR3108-LQXIT. After we used EZ-Click to program the CY8CMBR3108-LQXIT, it was working good for a while. Then we met a problem like one of the buttons didn't response. And the EZ-Click said that button shorted to GND. However, we used the EZ-Click to reprogram the CY8CMBR3108-LQXIT, and then that button was working again. Please help.

Thanks,

Hi @leiwang0130,

What is the error rate that you are observing with the MBR3 devices? Is the error occurring after prolonged use or after few cycles of programming?

Does your application involve very frequent resets/reboots of the MBR3 device? Is the power supply unstable? - these may lead to malfunctioning of the device. Power supplies are often the culprits in these situations.

Nikhil

Hi @leiwang0130,

This is strange behaviour and is not expected. Is the button accidentally getting grounded?

Are you able to observe raw counts for that button once this happens?

Nikhil

Hi Nikhil,

The defective product I have indicates pin CS7 shorts to GND, and it is always CS7 shorts to GND. The raw counts for CS7 is 0. I know it will be good after reprogramming because I already have 3 defectives reprogrammed.

Thanks,

Lei
