Hello Community,
We are back with some more exciting features added to our platform to make your community experience better. Check them out and let us know what you think. (click on the images for expanded view)
You are already familiar with various content sections in our community such as forums, blogs, knowledge articles, trainings etc. Now we have added a new content type for you - Projects.
What do we have there? You will see DIY electronics projects which are powered by Infineon products, with which you can learn and re-create real-world product concepts, and hobby projects of your choice. Arcade games, speed monitors or autonomous driving cars - you'll find a wide range of projects, from simple beginner-friendly circuits to complex ones for advanced users. In other words, these are close to end product demonstrations which will have a demo-able output and typically interfaces with other systems/components to build a coherent design. These could be considered prototypes for applications that would be built with Infineon devices, and that's what differentiates projects from 'code examples'.
Each project have detailed description on how it was created, along with demo videos, diagrams, components used, and most importantly the required code files. We have also added purchase options in case wish to download or buy the necessary software and hardware to recreate the project of your choice.
What if you run into an issue you can't figure out while creating the projects? Simply ask your query, and experts across the globe will help you resolve it. That's the best part of being a member of the Infineon Developer community!
We are adding one new project a day, for the next whole month! Make sure you subscribe to the Projects home page to be notified.
If you have a project with Infineon parts, that can be shared with other community members, please get in touch with us at community-manager@infineon.com
We have linked our community to Infineon's product catalogue, and that makes it now easier for you to 'tag' relevant products in the posts you create. There are two ways you can do this -
1. Use a hashtag (#) and then type the product name when you create your post, and pick the product from the suggested products dropdown.
2. Add it to the 'Associated Products' field without #. A suggested product list will also appear here based on typed characters. However, this will not get added to the content in Description and only work as a metadata.
Both options are shown below
Once you publish, it will look like this
Here are a few ways to interact with the linked products:
Tired of going to multiple forums to see latest discussions related to your favorite products? Now we have made it easier to always see what's relevant for you in the community home page. The filters that allow you to pick the places of your choice now save your preferences, and the next time you sign in, you won't have to repeat the filtering action.
Should you wish to see the feed again with all content, just click on Reset, and then 'Apply' your changes. Special shout out to our champions @MotooTanaka & @Len_CONSULTRON for requesting this feature update.
The community search experience got even more better with our latest release. Now find results from Infineon's GitHub repository for your queries, so you are not just limited with what is published within the community.
